I've decided to do it again for round 2 and I must say that I think my drawing has improved in the year.
I found a once a day that I actually liked because it's not filled with stuff like "draw something that makes you happy" for the most part. It's usually stuff like draw a shoe.
If I use a reference, I'll make a note on it but this year I'm actually going to try and do it without (unless it's literally something in real life.)
So I'm going to try and possibly do it. I will probably post them as a cluster like this unless I particularly like it, then that might be individually.
February 11 #42 Draw a landmark of your city February 12 #43 Draw something you are thankful for February 13 #44 Draw something made of china or ceramics February 14 #45 Draw an animal – a pet, a zoo animal, a stuffed animal February 15 #46 Draw your medicine cabinet (the inside of it) February 16 #47 Draw something holiday themed February 17 #48 Draw a challenge from the past year 1-47 that you didn’t try before
This is a grandma gangster who’s pretty bossy , and she has to take care of her little son...

Personally quite proud of this one. Position reference from ballet-related Google Images search; can’t remember clearly.

Granny's Kitchen By Noma Kofi Baah
To the west end of the family house it stood, It seemed timeless I thought each day With cracks that never got patched and soot blackened roof. It had a barn that housed the year’s harvest of grains And the large pot that harvested the rains. And as I grew, I viewed granny’s old kitchen with awe.
From the dry fronds that covered the mud structure supported with forked wood, To the old black pot from which family staples were cooked, This brown cracked house of silent walls stood strong year after year. We children always wondered why granny made this her favourite place on the compound.
Hanging on its walls; The blacksmith’s water that kept evil spirits away The sun dried hides that’s been there for years. Many were the charms that kept the family safe and guided our ancestors home at night Though we never understood why her morning rituals became a simple religion
Until her last breath, each morn was another day With an aluminum bucket filled with clay and water, Her trembling arms kept the floor and hearth brown. Those wrinkled arms kept the spiders and rats away. How she did this, no one ever knew.
We children never ceased to mock and laugh When she made us: Kiss the bamboo ladle when we stepped on it Made us turn thrice and utter some gibberish when we sat on the hearth, Put salt in fire to drive evil spirits away. And though it's hard to believe granny’s old kitchen became our little shrine, It was where all the delicacies we tasted were cooked.
Chinese man dresses in traditional Han clothing for 20 years
A man in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province took a liking to traditional Han dynasty clothing, and has dressed in a style reminiscent of the era for the past 20 years to promote traditional Chinese culture.
Hong Wei wears traditional Chinese Han clothing whenever he is dining, hanging out, or working. Although the 45-year-old has received criticism from time to time for his classic fashion sense, he doesn’t care at all, since he is obsessed with traditional culture, he told Shaanxi’s City Express.
Hong has devoted himself to learning about traditional culture. He also believes that children should be taught Confucianism and should learn Chinese brush calligraphy in their childhood.
Han clothing has a history of more than 3,000 years, and it’s believed that the legendary Yellow Emperor dressed in the style. A complete traditional Han outfit consists of several pieces of clothing, including an open cross-collar garment, a closed full-body garment, an open cross-collar shirt, a jacket, a skirt, and pants.
After his story was spread, Hong’s lifestyle was immediately admired by many people who saw it.
“I hope that China can designate a day to celebrate Han clothing to promote traditional Chinese culture, like Japan and S. Korea,” said @Yuerongrongdeweibo.
“I support him. There should be people who hand down culture and history [to the next generation]. I wonder if school uniforms can be designed like this,” commented @Kellysanzhijiaopangxie.
“He can stick to his hobby, which is quite admirable,” said @Zhongshijisenlin.
