A male rainbow skink (Trachylepis margaritifera) in South Africa, Africa
by Bernard Dupont
Somehow, skinks always seem to live on the sunny side of life. This is Trachylepis gravenhorstii, one of Madagascar’s most widespread and common reptiles, photographed on the dream island of Nosy Iranja last April. I was sadly quite ill, but managed to get this one decent photo from the trip. . . . . . . #gecko #lizard #Madagascar #skink #Trachylepis #Mabuya #trachylepisgravenhorstii #small #animal #sunshine #reptile #creature #animals #science #evolution #taxonomy #herpetology #systematics #research #wildlife #species #herps #herp #NosyBe #NosyIranja #herping #paradise #island #sun #holiday https://www.instagram.com/p/B9poRWhB4yi/?igshid=10wbzrn2ihtn0
