QOTD: Recommend me an underrated book! 😁 * • * Mini review! Gray Wolf Island by @traceyneithercott from Knopf Books (@penguinrandomhouse ) * • * I won this book in a giveaway about a year ago and I’m so happy I did! I don’t normally like magical realism so the fact that I have this book 4 stars has to tell you something! I was VERY intrigued by the mystery of the island and the treasure AND the characters. It is from two POV and one is a mystery character. It was written so well! And the character growth was done well, especially for a book that was only a little over 300 pages. The content was heavier than I had originally thought, but that’s okay, because it was really good! (I like heavier books, I was just surprised by this one). I’ve seen a lot of reviewers saying it’s a lot like The Raven Boys and I only half agree. The plot and story was different enough that it didn’t feel that similar. However, her writing style is very similar to Stiefvaters, and that’s a good thing! This book was weird in the best possible way! Oh, that ending hurt. So.
