Stapleton Productions Tricorder TR-590 (Part I)
These are the first stages of my Stapleton Productions prop build. First steps were gluing in the hinges and putting the main body together. After that I spray painted the first layers of primer, followed by some sanding and adding some more layers of primer.
In the meantime I put the access panels together, by adding the stickers to the acrylic panels. The EMRG button needed to be painted in black, followed by setting in the red acrylic button.
Afterwards I recognized the primer didnโt fill out all of the gaps, so I had to use some putty and sand it flush. Subsequently, after the putty was cured I applied some thin layers of the metallic paint. The next step will be to put on a layer of clear coat and assemble the tricorder.
