Also disclaimer that I don't dislike any of the Peter designs out there!! I love him so so much 💖 I just wanted to do my own take on him!!

First off! His name, Nureyev, is from Russia, but with Muslim origins. I thought this was very interesting and wanted to incorporate this. I'm still not super sure on what the consensus is on queer men wearing hijabs, so if you have any information on that please let me know! I also wanted to make him more brown, because even though almost all of his designs are of Asian descent, he still tends to be very light skinned or white presenting. And with the information about where his name comes from, this helped a lot.

Most of what the clothing is to me, since this story is set so far in the future, is for environmental reasons and also because he needs to not be distinguishable. Of course I wouldn't know what the weather on Brahma would be but I can imagine, especially with what Juno describes in the last couple episodes.

Peter also is a very private person, and I don't think he'd want to show all of himself to everyone immediately. He's very reserved. I'm also not sure whether he would be religious or not, as that's not something that's discussed in the show. I think it's more of a personal and also cultural thing.

Mostly I just want to have more diverse representation of queer and black and brown people! I love you all 💖 If you read all that thank you so much 💖💖💖
