Mason Heiral, because I'm actually obsessed. What compelled such an awful man to be so attractive? I'm beginning to think this speaks A LOT about my (fictional) type. It ranges from wholesome darlings like Tom to awful men like Mason.
Maybe this will turn into a whole thing for the franchise! (๑´ސު`๑)
Warnings: The Price of Flesh is an 18+ game for its adult and violent themes. As implied, LEAVE if you're a minor or vulnerable. Spoilers of his Route, Gore Descriptions, Toxic Relationship, a bit of Stockholm Syndrome and Dismemberment.
Anything you consume only involves you, Doll.
Well, I did say that things could get dark in this blog.
Mason should have gotten a romance route! ( ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ ) ♡ "Who'd want to be with the old man who lives in the forest all by himself?" I WOULD! I WOULD! (I would not touch this man with a 20-foot pole.)
Every thump heard is followed the creak of the wooden floor. The tea kettle is piping with a wildberry brew once more. Smoke comes out of it, eager for release from the fire below it.
[Name]'s hands are quick to grab the nearest towel and pick it up from the fireplace set. Is it perfect? Should I use the berry jam as a cream for the cake? Will he love it? Will he love me? He does.
Within you, you knew this was not love. Just a filling for his empty life and probably yours. Even if he caused his misery, his errors were your own from the very moment the gong of the bidding bell rung throughout the auction.
The feelings of supposed amour he developed were likely from the idea of a subservient who he could toy with whenever pleased but never make the final cut.
You fill your cup with a bit of tea and cut a small slice of the cake to taste. It must be perfect. He must be pleased. You angle yourself and sit, placing the cane on the side of the table. Sometimes, you feel a 'ghost' sensation on the bump of skin where your right leg used to be.
The memories plagued you whenever they rushed. The bear trap. The use of his knife to tear through flesh and fat. The stomping of his foot down on visible bone. Your begging, wails and screams not providing a defense he should consider. Between the dizziness of pain and the adrenaline lessening within you, his large arms ensured you were nested on his shoulder as he carried you.
"You're better like this." He murmured, audible enough for you to hear as you neared the area of the cabin you briefly stopped by. The cold was evident on the gore alongside the searing pain you felt. Looking down, blood droplets continued to create a morbid trail, similar to that of a wounded animal. Shall your dismembered part be consumed by wild animals?
Mason didn't even consider snapping all bone off, so a bloody piece of it idly swung. You fought the urge to vomit, not in the desire for more trouble if it spilled all over his clothes. Your vision started to become dotted and blurred, your body craving relief from the pain brought onto you. "Maybe this is it." You thought as you slowly slipped from consciousness, the pain numbing.
Ever since then, you adapted to the pernicious idea he had for you. "Be a classically submissive and ideal 'partner', and adhere to the fantasies he desired manifestation of." You concluded when formulating your routine to match his preferences.
"This is pretty good." You speak well of the meal you've prepared. Hot tea is brought to your lips and the tartness of it confirms your sentiment. It's perfect. He will be pleased.
Within a few minutes, everything is set up. You've washed your dishes, even if they'll be used once more. He'd appreciate the vision of a meal together.
The shuffling of heavy boots is evident as the noise nears the wooden door. Where was he whenever he wasn't home? Had others ever experienced his sinister shift? You still for a moment, heart jumping slightly at the opening of the door. It would be long before you adjusted to it.
"Could this be an opportunity to run?" You thought for a moment before brushing it off when his large form came into view. It wouldn't be wrong to interpret him similarly to a bear. A large body that proved menacing on multiple occasions, arms and hands ready to commit atrocities and a face that showed his vileness whenever he laid his eyes upon your own.
"Smells nice." Mason states, a small smile on his face as he takes you in. For a moment, he looks human. He was pleased by how small you made yourself seem in comparison to him, looking down for a few nervous moments before looking back at him, frightened of his reaction. "Thank you. Would you like to eat?" "I sure would."
Sitting across from him sometimes feels surreal. It's as though you're a domestic couple, not the dynamic of a captor and his captive. When you hear his hum of approval at the first bite of soft cake and second sip of tea, there are higher chances you've done well for the day.
Partially assured, you start consuming your own.
Tiny headcannon: The cake, tea and berry jam recipe is from the home-made recipe book in Mason's home. His wife used it a lot, so he appreciates MC getting the recipes just right.
