Here is my original King Henry VIII doll knitting pattern. The doll is 18cm tall and comes complete with long stockings, doublet, hose, and a Tudor cap. This knitting pattern is for beginners. The skirt, bodice & head are knitted all in one & the arms do not require toy stuffing. This egg cosy is designed in Victorian dress, finished with a detachable bonnet. ​

This knitting pattern was originally designed in 2014; however, I opened a knitting magazine in 2015 and saw a copy of my design. In 2025, I redesigned and adapted the pattern for beginners so that each doll could be knitted in an evening. Mary and Joseph are 16cm tall, Baby Jesus measures 5cm in length, and the manager is 8cm x 5cm. There are separate knitting patterns for the Shepherds and Wise Men, or a complete nativity pattern with all the dolls included. ​

At the age of 16 years, I left home to train as a professional ballet dancer in London and was on stage for many years before becoming a ballet teacher. I retired in 2021 and wanted to design a pocket ballerina for young dancers. This doll comes with a flat tutu skirt, just like a real ballerina, and is very simple to make. It would look perfect on a Christmas tree or just a doll to pop into a ballet bag.

Here is Henry VIII's first wife, Katherine of Aragon. The doll is 19cm tall, with the body and legs knitted all-in-one. I have taken inspiration from the paintings of this Tudor Queen when designing the outfit. The bodice, arms, and kirtle are knitted in a fair isle motif, and the French hood uses garter stitch to give texture. The doll is finished off with beads to portray jewellery.
