I was talking to my friend the other day, and it was nearly 4 in the morning because we couldn’t sleep (but obviously that’s when the best conversations happen). Somehow we started talking about time, and she was like, ‘Wow, I’m so glad we live in this time,’ and because both our eyesights are pretty bad, if we lived in some Stone Age time, we’d both have died from natural selection, like predators would've killed us first, ‘even though we’re two fairly intelligent people,’ she said, and we sat back and just appreciated the fact that we were alive, and then I was like, ‘Oh man, that means the Orange Towies of Essex would have outlived us’ and that was a sad finding indeed.
