makoto/izuru is about the dichotomy of two normal people being forcibly warped into the saviors of the world for all the wrong reasons, one unpersoned in the most violating way to experience ego death and the new individual born from the event lacking in humanity because it was considered unnecessary and thus elevated to being a god among men but with such little empathy given towards their circumstances and the other a normal person by all respects put on a pedestal so far above others simply for trying to survive and being put into positions of power they never asked for yet need to fulfill because the world will end without them and no matter what they can never return to whom they once were and komaru/toko is about how the naegi family fucks with freaks specifically
