So reading Total Creative Control for the second time, knowing that both characters subconsciously view Sky as Lewis and Faolan as Aaron, really explains their weirdly intense reactions to discussions about Sky and Faolan's relationship.
Like Lewis is always adamant that Sky and Faolan are platonic because he's afraid of his relationship with Aaron changing. Meanwhile Aaron sees them as romantic because he's still hoping that he could be with Lewis.
And the making Faolan straight thing! They're basically erasing a huge portion of Aaron's identity. Lewis, backed into a corner, just says "fine, I'll make another Aaron," but Aaron just sees himself being erased.
Ok, the audiobook of Total Creative Control definitely made me cry.
Started to listen to Toral Crestive Costroller instead. The book was good, but the audiobook is amazing so far!
