This one's an older piece featuring some of my favorite comical characters — it was even featured in an overseas magazine! Love the cartoon-y vibe of these guys.

I sometimes draw illustrations like this. They may look academic and gothic, as if they mean something, but actually they don’t. It’s a bit like how George Harrison took just the surface essence of Indian music and turned it into his own songs. Rather than finished artworks, these are basically doodles from my sketchbook.

Every now and then, I run into a younger version of myself online (lol). I wonder when this was from.

Back then, my work was a mix of vector illustrations made with Adobe Illustrator and hand-drawn analog pieces.

These days, I hardly use Illustrator at all. Funny how things change.

Images from the Fishink blog also keep popping up on Pinterest from time to time. I always think, “Don’t recommend my own article to me.”

今では、Illustratorを使うことはほとんどありません。 時代とともに、いろいろ変わるものですね。
