I originally bought this outfit to wear to @skankfestnyc I loved the idea something could be called skankfest and have nothing to do with #ska. Although last night was not a debatcherous comedy adventure in NYC It was a very special Saturday night. @punxcantlaugh2014 the comedy venture of @jerseyfresh05 the longtime producer at infamous Toronto rock venue the Bovine sex club was a considerably more quite affair. Held at the DIY venue Loveshack a sheltered back yard decked out with Perfect twinkle lights and heart details. The show featured the rare gem of almost an entire lineup of comics I had never seen. Thea Thyssen @theathyssen was the sort of cunning sly straight up new comic that’s gets me excited to see more. George Rivard @yukonsblackcomedian has a wild misfit story and natural infectious energy that felt like a punk band. Jeremy dobski @thealphadob reminded me of friend who died last year. He didn’t look like him but the charming wacky daring punk energy was there. He did jokes about death and it was a moment where I was really gaining power over sadness. Rahil Shaikh @rahilcomedy went and killed on this show went over to comedy bar and killed in front of an entirely different crowd takes notes on this sort of ambition. These sets were all woven together with Koury’s begrudgingly charming hosting ways and campy raucous energy with his co-host/ house band Brad manners who was wearing a Teenage Head shirt so therefore I immediately liked him and knew he knew what was up and did not to take himself too seriously.
