#toronto pride

Was kind of hoping there'd be someone selling those rainbow umbrellas. My old one broke, and I refuse to use a boring monochrome one. I like to imagine I'm bringing out the rainbow that normally happens after the rain :D

... Someone tell me where I can get a rainbow umbrella in Toronto? My last one came from Dollarama, years ago, and they don't have them anymore :(

Also, rainbow things are like visual candy to me. Taste the rainbow, indeed.

Shirtless for most of it, didn't feel at all insecure or out of place dispite my chest being kinda rough looking (I just have extra skin and need a revision its not that bad)

Saw a bunch of naked old guys

Made out with my boyfriend infront a group of relgious protestors. After breaking, i realized one of them had been standing about 3ft away just stairing at it all, he then hands me a Jesus pamphlet saying "you should read this"

Met some really nice pups running a info & cooling booth.

Lots of very well styled butch/femme couples.

Saw alot of really really old gay people in general which always nice. Lots of old trans women, which is doubly nice to see.

Uggghhh there was a robot lady?

I noticed that at least half the booths were corporate organizations and it's like...I don't want you here, there are other ways to be supportive of the queer community (I do not have the energy to delve into the nuances of rainbow capitalism rn, I know this is a bigger conversation)

I want to go to the street fair and see it filled with small businesses, local artists, queer organizations so it actually feels like a community festival. But how are they supposed to do that when it costs like $1000 just for a spot (not counting all the other upfront expenses)
