6. Are you religious/spiritual? / I grew up in a strict Christian household, and held on to those tenets until they stopped making sense (a la “God hates gay people” but also “God made you perfect just the way you are,” ????) I don’t believe in an intervening or all-knowing god and don’t much care for organized religion. Probably the most ~spiritual~ I get is while communing with nature or creating a new piece of art.

How does your character feel about becoming Inquisitor?

Mihika was terrified.  Sure she daydreamed about being some sort of heroic leader before, but in reality she knows she’s not capable.  “You want me to lead the inquisition?  Why?  I’m the worst!” Surprisingly, the Inquisition did not crumble the second she was put in charge and over time she became a bit more confident in her abilities.  Still, she’s sure that literally anyone else would be better suited to lead than her.

What’s their favorite location to travel to, if any?

Akaas prefers any place that is warm, especially by an ocean.  Reminds him of home.  He’s from Rivain and has no idea how to dress for the cold.  He travelled to Emprise du Lion in a light sweater thinking it would be fine.  It wasn’t.  Let him return home.

What is their first impression of their advisers?

Sorrel is wary of Leliana since she’s an Orlesian spymaster who probably has dirt on her.  One of her main motivations for sticking with the Inquisition was out of fear that Leliana would blackmail her if she didn’t.

She’s also wary of Cullen because templar, but much less so.  She knew a few okay templars back in the Circle.  She hopes he’s one of them.

She thinks Josephine is nice and all, but all this diplomacy stuff is giving her flashbacks to the Orlesian nobility.

tl;dr: sorrel is wary of everyone and they’re probably all wary of her.

What is their first impression of their companions?

Sorrel’s first impression of Cassandra was “let me out of this dungeon”, but she totally gets why Cassandra was suspicious of her.  Cassandra’s bluntness was actually a breath of fresh air and she respects her greatly.  They were getting along fine, but then Sorrel mentioned that she’s an atheist and their budding friendship took a hit.

First impression of Solas: “stop touching my hand”.  She doesn’t know what to make of him exactly, but there’s something of a mutual scholarly respect for each other.

parachute: who does your OC(s) trust the most? who makes them feel safe? who would they do absolutely anything for?

His mom.  tbh he’d abandon the inquisition if his mom needed help, but she’d probably tell him to get back to the inquisition.  when he first became leader of the inquisition, he probably held that sword up and said “this is for you, mom”.  but bioware didn’t give me that option.

contact: how does your OC(s) feel about touch/physical contact? are they affectionate? if so, how do they display affection to others?

She’s affectionate, but...aggressively affectionate.  She doesn’t just hug you.  She shakes you back and forth as she hugs you.  She’s a dwarf, but she will still pick you up.  She will twirl you around.

hobby: what do they love? what captivates them? what are their passions?

What was Tabris’ relationship with their family like? (Cyrion, Adaia, Shianni, Sorris…)

Shava loves her dad, even if he won’t let her go full crustpunk.  She felt closer to her mother because her mother openly acknowledged her partial blindness, but never treated her like she was weak.  Shava could never shake the feeling that her father always pitied her for her condition.  After her mother died, Shava’s father tightened his grip on her out of fear of losing her in the same way.  Shava understood his reasons, but she hated feeling stifled like that.  However after becoming a warden, she started to miss being stifled.  She also loved her cousins, but hell would always be unleashed upon the alienage whenever she and shianni would hang out together.

How did Tabris handle being told of their arranged marriage?

Not well.  She whined about it constantly.  She didn’t do anything to work against the union, but she let everyone know that even if she was to be married, she was not going to be happy about it.

What was growing up in the alienage like for Tabris? How did they feel about having to leave?

Frost - if you could give some advice to your younger self, what would you say? - If you’re in a relationship that makes you fucking miserable, don’t try to stick it out !!  Just agree to have your differences and leave. Being single is way better than screaming, crying fights almost every week for close to a year.

Orchard - share one thing that you’d like to happen this autumn. - Getting a gf ? Can I say that ? Else, I’d really like to find time to hike Kennesaw Mountain while the leaves are still nice colors.

Quilt - how do you take your tea (or coffee)? - For coffee I like an iced macchiato or a strong hot brew with creamer and sugar. For tea, I like matcha lattes or black tea with honey.
