#9: Chrono Trigger by Square. Chrono Cross was the first non-Final Fantasy rpg that I ever played, and I loved it a lot but it just didn't have the same magnitude as a FF game. Then I was told to play Chrono Trigger... and my life was changed. This game is so rich in story and has brilliant characters. There are multiple endings and so many different choices to make. It has so much to offer, and it's replay value is undeniable. I discover new things every time I play it. This game has often been called the best rpg of all time, and I can definitely see why.
