Top 10 Prospects: Introduction to the Rankings
It is a slow time in the offseason where this not much news in the hockey world. This is a time where a lot of top prospect rankings. I will write about who I think are the Top 10 Prospects currently in the Oilers organization. Each prospect ranking will have their potential, current production, and how likely they are to reach their potential.Β
To rank potential I will be using a scale of 1-10. Each rating breaks down as the following:Β
10 - Generational Talent
9 - Elite Player
8 - Superstar Player
7 - Good PlayerΒ
6- Average Player
5- AHL/NHL Tweener
4- AHL Superstar
3- AHL player
2- ECHL player
1- How did you even get drafted?Β
Along with the potential rating, there will be another rating which will be like letter grades on how likely that player will reach his potentail. It will be like the following:Β
A - He will most likely hit their potential
B- He has a good chance at hitting their potential
C- They are more likely not to their potential
D- They will not hit their potential
So that is how I will rate each prospect. Everyday there will be a new prospect revealed for the top 10. Tomorrow I will be starting with the honourable mentions of who did not make the cut.
