Established by Yōichi Yamaguchi, FlipFlop was active between the years 1994 and 2000, focusing almost exclusively on educational PC game software. The studio is best known in Japan for its Neo Atlas trilogy, a series expanding on the 1991 origina which Yamaguchi designed while he was an employee at ArtDink.

Enhanced Interior Brightness

Traditional box truck bodies equipped with fully opaque roofs often have limited natural light inside the cargo area. When interior lighting is not switched on, the compartment can become dark, making loading, unloading, cargo inspection, and inventory management more difficult.

Translucent FRP roof panels allow abundant natural sunlight to enter the cargo space throughout the day. The result is a bright and comfortable interior environment that improves visibility and reduces worker fatigue during cargo handling operations.

For many logistics applications, especially daytime urban distribution and parcel delivery, the natural illumination provided by the translucent roof significantly reduces or even eliminates the need for additional interior lighting, lowering electrical system complexity and energy consumption.

Lightweight Roof Material

Weight reduction is one of the most important factors in modern truck body design. The translucent roof panel is manufactured from high-quality natural-colored FRP sheets with a thickness ranging from 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm. Compared with conventional steel roof structures, FRP roofing materials are exceptionally lightweight while maintaining excellent strength and durability.

The roof sheet itself contributes very little to the overall body weight, allowing fleet operators to maximize payload capacity without compromising structural integrity.

A lighter roof structure also lowers the vehicle’s center of gravity, which contributes to improved handling characteristics, greater driving stability, and enhanced safety, particularly during cornering and emergency maneuvers.

Curved Roof Bow

The roof support material is made of high-strength 6xxx aluminum alloy profiles with a slightly curved profile.

This curved design offers several functional advantages:

Rain, snow, leaves, and dust naturally flow to the sides of the roof, rather than accumulating in the center. This reduces the risk of water accumulation, minimizes the load on the roof during snowfall, and simplifies cleaning and maintenance.

The roof panels extend beyond the support structure and integrate seamlessly with a carefully designed eaves connection system. This engineering design creates highly effective weatherproofing.

Easy to Maintain and Replace

TOPOLO designed its translucent roof system with ease of maintenance in mind. Both the FRP roof sheets and the roof bow assembly are available as spare parts. If the roof sheets reach the end of their service life, or if the roof bow structure is damaged in an accidental collision, the affected parts can be quickly removed and replaced without requiring extensive rebuilding of the vehicle body. This modular design reduces maintenance costs and allows vehicles to be quickly returned to operation.

The tipper truck body is attached to the chassis and driven by hydraulic pressure or cylinders to transport and dump sand, soil, gates, stones and other materials. Carrying overweight subjects will cause damage to the body of the dump truck, in addition, rough roads, bad weather and occasional traffic accidents, the damage to the body will be further aggravated, such as deformation of the side panels, depressions in the floor, etc., which significantly shortened the service life of the dump body. Increasing the body strength by increasing the weight will increase the engine load of the vehicle and reduce transportation efficiency. Therefore, on the premise of reducing the weight of the body as much as possible, the strength of the body can be improved to maximize the loading rate of the vehicle.
