it’s bad enough I can’t make myself start ANYTHING until like 2am on the day it’s due even though I have work for the majority of the day aka hello crappy assignment and zero sleep

As the girl dubbed tweet master of our senior AACM class (is this embarassing? I still don't know), I have to admit I do tweet more than once a day at times. You've even seen this nerdy post about platforms I like, but let's face it: sometimes a girl's gotta cut back. After seeing a few friends who admirably tweet sparingly, I'm starting to feel like sometimes the saying is true: less is more. How do you know you're maybe just too active on twitter?

1. You average more than five tweets a day. One is cool, a few are aite, four allows for replies and retweets, and five is where I kind of feel like the benchmark is. Unless you're really into live tweeting your day. But oh, who are we kidding? Sometimes we can near the teens. 

2. You publicly insert yourself into others' twitter conversations. Why? Because... well, they're public right? Interjection into others' social circles is what makes twitter so obnoxiously fun and social. So go ahead and answer Zooey Deschanel's question about which printed dress to wear today. 

3. You talk in hashtags in real life. Which means you probably actually say the word 'hashtag'. I'm guilty of this because it's just hilarious to me, and plus your parents (and countless others) will probably have no idea what you're talking about OR also find it ridiculously funny. 

4. Your coworkers joke about how you're going to tweet what they say. Except it's not only just a joke... it's reality and slightly part of my identity at work, in accordance with my love of chips. Even better, when you start typing, they ask if you're tweeting about them right now. Haha, not the first time. 

5. You have ever favorited your own tweets. What's that saying? You are your biggest fan. Of course everything you say will be interesting to you, so appreciate who you are and how you choose to express yourself in snippets of 140 characters. 

At one time or another I've done almost all of these. Okay, all of them. Are you active on twitter, or simply overlook it's instantaneous overload of news? If you love tweeting, don't hold back. Wave your twitter flag high & keep it real.
