¨We've only mentioned it the once, actually. Steve's still shy about the whole thing.¨

¨Not shy, it was just an intimate moment for me, the first one I shared with you.¨

¨Yeah, it was special for me too. It was at my birthday party, up in the penthouse, lots of people and still I felt a bit lonely so I snuck off to the balcony. Steve watched me go and followed me outside to make sure I was doing okay. Seeing him was somehow just what I needed. From that moment on I was falling in love with him. He made me feel safe, wanted and loved and immediately put a smile on my face.¨

¨Tony told me he was alright, that he just needed some fresh air but I didn't believe him. I asked him again and this time he did tell me he felt alone, that almost everyone at the party, except for the team, Pepper and Rhodes, was there not because they cared for him but for his money. I could've lied and said it wasn't true but it probably was and I just wanted him to feel better, loved. I'd been thinking about asking him out for a while but so far, I'd always backed out and instead of doing that, I mustered up all the courage I had and decided to kiss him.¨

¨That was one hell of a kiss, honey.¨

¨It was a good one, wasn't it?¨

¨Shame we didn't get together then.¨

"I was scared I'd taken advantage of you so I took my distance again, until you came up to me and asked me out."

"You know for someone who leads the Avengers, you're not always great at communicating. You didn't take advantage of me, I wanted to kiss you as well."

"I know that now."

"If you'd just asked me how I felt about the kiss or about you..."

"You could've told me, Tones, without me prying."

"I was embarrased! After the kiss, you just walked away and you were nowhere to find."

"I thought you'd be angry with me."

"Well, I wasn't up until you left. If we'd gotten into a relationship back then, maybe our fight wouldn't have happened."

"But it did and I'm sorry and we're all here now, aren't we?"

"Would you've told me?"

"Told you what, Tony?"

"About my parents... and Buck? If we'd gotten together then?¨

"Tones...¨

¨Would you have?¨

¨I...I don't know. Why are we talking about this, Tones? Everything was fine.¨

*leaves*

¨Back off, Steve.¨
