I love that our muffins play and share so well together. And they’re being so quiet here too! I left the sound on but you can’t even tell because they’re hardly making a peep. I thought this was a good example of calm, well-behaved play.
There was a shitty viral video a few months ago of two overweight corgis with severe resource guarding behavioral issues. Their body language was tense and stiff, they stared each other down from 6 feet away with bared teeth and launched into snarling snap-fests. The clip showed them guarding everything from food to stuffed animals to nothing in particular. I don’t know why people thought it was hilarious, because it wasn’t. All I saw were two dogs in a constant heightened state of stress and paranoia and a negligent owner who thought filming it was better than working on their behavioral and weight issues. Dog owners, be better than that.
