that being said -- i know damn well it's easy to get discouraged but don't give up on looking. took me a bit to find my peter but hell if i'm not happy as ever to have him back again. we talk all the time (pretty similarly to how we used to, actually, he's constantly sending me long voice messages and he's exactly how i remember him /pos) so it's nice even aside from him being who he is to have that reminder of 'home'
to be fair, i was never able to have kids in my canon cause pepper fucked off and we basically hated each other, so that relationship meant that much more to me... anyway i'll save you the emotional tangent. don't give up. our people are out there.
