Tommy’s Cooking Journal:

Thanksgiving isn’t really a thing I celebrate, but I’ve really been learning how important food and sharing food is. It’s like a tie that binds people together. A good bond. I really wanted to share a special meal with my Master even if I don’t want to celebrate a holiday that has a lot of bad feelings for my people. So I just decided to spin it around. I made a special meal based on what I’ve been learning about Siksika and fae cooking. The library here is kind of crazy. They have everything. I mean I know most of what Blackfeet people eat, I just needed to figure out how to make a special meal of it. So I made some bannock and topped it with some bison and corn salsa kind of thing. Then the real challenge came. Fae Court Cakes. The look simple but holy cow they are not simple to make (and required some of Master Lucas’ magic), but I think they came out pretty good. We topped it off with some fancy Fae wine. I think it was a big success.
