Finally finished this, and glad I did. (Took me over a year to finish but that's on me - part of me just didn't want it to end😔) This series, along with the Clone Wars movie, give insight into the war and, even though we know it's all a plan hatched by Sidious to get control of the Republic, fleshes out more of the world opened up by the prequels. Sad to see the fall of the Jedi, but to see just how long the Sith long game is...whoa. Cartoon Anakin was given a depth above and beyond what the live-action Anakin ever got, and we definitely got to see how badass Kenobi, Mace, Yoda, Plo Koon and others could be. I loved the contrast with the clone troopers asserting their individual identities compared to the later stormtroopers and the empire's attempt to scrub as much of that away from recruits as they could, the stories behind the clones nicknames, their haircuts/tattoos and the designs on their helmets/armor was very cool. I also loved that lesser characters got storylines - including but not limited to: Ahsoka, R2 and 3PO, and the clones. The last part of S5 and then S6 got real dark, real quick; Ahsoka grew on me over the course of the series so the story arc of her frame up and decision to leave the order was real sad. the series seemed to end on a weird note with Padmé wanting time away from Anakin, and then in Ep3 she's all "hey! i'm pregnant!"
