I have a few recs for this one! 

Gold, Silver, and Lead by @havisham There’s just so much in this! Míriel and Indis meeting, a terribly sad bit about Orcs, jealousy and attraction all mixed up together. 

Steel Reeds Before the Wind by Marchwriter An absolute Aerin/Morwen classic. Full of bittersweetness, fire, fear, and love. 

Explorations by Ludovica Galadriel explores her awakening body with the help of her cousin Aredhel. Xeno femslash, go and read it right now. :D

The hardest choice! I love so many ships that I honestly did not know how to pick which one to rec for. 

But ultimately, I decided that the fairest way would be to choose the pairing I’ve written about the most, and that’s Galadriel/Melian. 

So without further ado: 

Learning by Adlanth is a dreamy, sensual look at a certain lesson Melian could have taught Galadriel. It’s the kind of D/s I love best, all about yielding up pride and willing surrender to desire. 

A Punishment for Insolence by Ludovica is stupendously, gloriously hot. Who among us hasn’t wanted to spank Galadriel from time to time? *raises hand* ...just me then? ;) Melian gives Galadriel a bit of what she needs, and it’s delightful. 

The correct attire for princesses by @kanafinwhy is a lovely look at how Galadriel might not fit into the culture of Doriath immediately, and how Melian advises her about this. It has a delicious undercurrent of desire on Melian’s part, in particular, running all through it, and I love how Melian explains her own connection to Doriath itself. Galadriel is wonderfully young and naive, despite the hardships she’s already experienced, and she very much feels like a fish out of water, which is entirely appropriate!

our bones only ache while the flesh is on them by @curmudgeony, written for Terrifying Tolkien Week, is absolutely chilling (no pun intended oh god) and too, too plausible. The end gave me actual chills of horror and delight all mixed up together in a really weird way. 

I love so many amazing Silmarillion fanartists - and I have plans to feature more of you in recs - but for Tolkien Femslash Recs I simply have to celebrate the glorious work of the wonderful @nisiedrawsstuff!

“In the years that followed, Gilraen would blame the spring.”  A pairing that I requested very much on a whim, and received a wonderful, amazing gift for - it’s long, it’s a road trip, there’s pining and hurt/comfort and a worldbuildy romp through the early Fourth Age. It’s a real feel-good fic. :)
