She never asked him about his siblings, what the competition was, how many were alive, or if he even knew the status of any of them beyond disowned and abandoned. She did know of the guilt, how at times he would look at alleys with unease, how he was uncomfortable being in a room without a window, how at times he'd wash his hands for hours, until they were raw and red and he would deny care from her for them. She did know of the nightmares, how some nights he would wake up in a cold sweat, apologies falling off his lips at a rapid pace, heart pounding in his chest where her hand rested, and she would pull him against her as he choked out more apologies, and she never bothered to check if he was crying, because it didn't matter. He muttered another apology against her breast, silken sheets over them. She had grown quite used to this, after dating for most of high school and being married for almost two years. She knew to run her fingers through his hair, to hum to him and rock him until he fell asleep against her, and she knew to not ask the next morning as she brought in coffee for him. (He had recently been banned from the kitchen after nearly burning down the entire household.)

苗木「それは違うよ！」 腐川「（びくっ）...い、いきなり何よ...」 苗木「あはは、ごめんね..驚かせちゃった？」 腐川「...べ、別に....」 十神「おい、図書室では静かにしろと習わなかったのか？」 腐川「も、申し訳ありません白夜様....」

Naegi: "You've got that wrong!"

Fukawa: "W-what do you mean..."

Naegi: "Ahaha, sorry, did I scare you suddenly?"

Fukawa: "N-no, not really..."

Togami: "Oi, didn't I tell you two to be quiet in the library?"

Fukawa: "S-sorry, Byakuya-sama..."

苗木「僕、十神くんと腐川さんと一緒に居ていいのかな....って、時々考えちゃうんだ...はぁ、人よりもすこしだけ前向きなことが僕の取り柄なのに...。」

Naegi: "Sometimes I wonder if Fukawa-san is really better off with Togami-kun....*sigh* It's strange, I'm supposed to be more optimistic than most people...and yet..."

苗木「お昼だね！腐川さん、お昼ご飯食べようよ！」 腐川「な、何でアタシがアンタと....ど、どうしてもって言うなら...別にいいけど....（ちらっ/もじもじ）」 十神「待て、何故俺を誘わない」

Naegi: "Lunch time! Fukawa-san, come eat lunch with me!"

Fukawa: "Wh-what's that..? You want me to come eat lunch...with you?" *hesitating*

Togami: "Wait, why am I not invited?"

十神「..フン、愚民め...」 腐川（ｷｭﾝ） 苗木「希望は...希望は前に進むんだっ...！」 腐川「（.....ｷｭﾝ）....っ.....な、何なのよ....ちょ、ちょっと格好良いって思っちゃったじゃない...！」 朝日奈「？腐川ちゃん？」

Togami: "Hmph, plebeians..."

Fukawa: *doki doki*

Naegi: "Hope...there is hope for us in the future!"

Fukawa: *doki doki* "...(Wait, I actually thought he was handsome for a second there...! No way...!)"

Asahina: "? Fukawa-chan?"

十神「おい苗木、あまり腐川にあれこれとするな。」 苗木「え？な、何で？」 十神「....何でもだ。」 苗木「何でも...?」 十神「何でもだ、わかったか？」 苗木「う、うーん...」

Togami: "Oi, Naegi. Don't you dare try anything on Fukawa."

Naegi: "Huh? Wh-what?"

Togami: "Don't try anything at all."

Naegi: "Anything...?"

Togami: "That's right. Understand?"

Naegi: "Um, okay..."

腐川「..な、苗木じゃない.....何こんなところで寝てるのよ....」 苗木「...んぅ.....ふ、...かわ....さん..」 腐川「ひっ！？」 苗木「...しな...な、....いで.....」 腐川「...何よ..し、死なないわよ..！...バカ..」

Fukawa: "..Huh, it's Naegi...why is he asleep in a place like this..."

Naegi: "zzz...Fu...kawa...san..."

Fukawa: "Eep?!"

Naegi: "D...don't....die...please...zzz..."

Fukawa: "I-i'm not going to die...! Idiot..." 

((I'm like at least 70% sure this is an allusion to the bad end))

腐川「...あの汚ギャルに髪型をいじられたわ...く、屈辱よ....」 苗木「あれ？腐川さん髪型変わってる...すっごく可愛いよ！」 腐川「か、かわっ....そそそ、そんな嘘には騙されないわよ....！」 苗木「嘘じゃないって！ね？十神くん！」 十神「.......フン..」

Fukawa: "I..I can't believe I was forced into that disgusting gyaru hairstyle...how shameful..."

Naegi: "Whoa! Fukawa-san, you've changed your hairstyle! You're really cute!"

Fukawa: "C-c-c-c-cute?! I-i'm not going to believe those lies...!"

Naegi: "I'm not lying! Isn't she cute, Togami-kun?"

Togami: "....Hmm..."

苗木「十神くんももう自室に戻っちゃったし..僕らもそろそろ戻ろうか」 腐川「そ、そうね....」 苗木「おやすみ腐川さん（にこっ）」 腐川「っお...おやすみ...苗木...（ちらっ）」 苗木（...可愛い）

Naegi: "Well, Togami-kun's gone back to his room, so we should get going too...!"

Fukawa: "R-right..."

Naegi: "Good night then, Fukawa-san!" *smile*

Fukawa: "G-good night...Naegi..." *glance*

Naegi: "(...She's so cute...)"

葉隠「最近十神っち、腐川っち、苗木っちは仲がいいべ...何だか微笑ましいべ！」 不二咲「そうだねぇ、何だか僕嬉しいよぉ」 葉隠「だべ！」 舞園（桑田くんには誰も突っ込まないんですね）

Hagakure: "These days, Togami-chi, Fukawa-chi and Naegi-chi seem to get along real well!"

Fujisaki: "Yes! Somehow, it makes me so happy!"

Hagakure: "Same!"

Maizono: "(But no one seems interested in Kuwata-kun yet...)"

苗木「腐川さん」 腐川「な、なによ..」 苗木「冬子さん」 腐川「は、はぁっ！？」 苗木「ねえ、君も僕の事を名前で呼んでくれないかな..(ちら)」 腐川「な、なんで..アタシがあんた何か......、ま、誠..(ぼそ)」 苗木「腐川さん..（きゅん）」 十神「おいどう言う事だ！」

Naegi: "Fukawa-san."

Fukawa: "W-what is it..."

Naegi: "Touko-san."

Fukawa: "Ehh??!!"

Naegi: "Hey, why aren't you calling me by my name too..." *glance*

Fukawa: "W-what, you want me to...I...M-Makoto..." *blush*

Naegi: "Fukawa-san..." *hugs her*

Togami: "Oi, what the hell are you doing?"

苗木「トリックオアトリート！」 十神「...そうか、今日はハロウィンだったな。...フン、これでも持っていけ。（飴投げ）」 苗木「わ、ありがとう十神くん！」 腐川「...あ、アタシ...お菓子持ってないわ...」 苗木「そっかぁ...じゃあ、悪戯していいんだね？」

腐川「い、悪戯って...ど、どど、どんな事するのよ...ま、まさかアンタ...いやらしい事しようだなんて考えてるわけじゃないでしょうね...！」 苗木「そ、そんな事、恋人になったらじゃないとしないよ！」 十神「...？おい、今のはどう言う事だ説明しろ苗木」

Naegi: "Trick or Treat!"

Togami: "...Ah, today is Halloween, isn't it. Fine, take this piece of candy." *throws him candy*

Naegi: "Thanks, Togami-kun!"

Fukawa: "...I..I didn't get any candy..."

Naegi: "Then...we should play a trick!"

Fukawa: "A...a trick? W-w-what kind of trick...? Y-you don't mean lewd things, do you....?"

Naegi: "T-those kinds of things are only OK between lovers...!"
