Beauty Berry Bush - September 2020 Beauty Berry, which is aptly named, is a form of mint. The leaves look a lot like other mint leaves, but the bright light purple berries look like no other plant I have seen. This plant was located in Heritage Park near Tugaloo Bend. We have been in Georgia for five months and have not been bothered by mosquitoes, but they drove us out of Heritage Park. There were hundreds of them in the woods and foliage. Luckily, Kathy took these images before we started down the handicap access path to the overlook. MWM

Historic Traveler’s Rest - September 2020 The Traveler’s Rest was built in 1816 and then bought by the Jarrett family and expanded in 1838. Unlike most “Historic Inns,” this is not a reproduction. The Inn remained in the Jarrett family until it was sold to Georgia as an historic park. 85% of the building is original. Many of the furnishings are heirlooms of the Jarrett family. Not only is it a great image, it is an accurate peek into life in the nineteenth century. The Historic Traveler’s Rest is located close to Toccoa, Georgia, near the Tugaloo River. MWM
