tell me about it, we’ve been doing line theory/still life for weeks now. they discourage going into detail. “well thats nic but u dont want 2 overwork ur drawing” everyone else in the class has vague shapes for their technical observation drawings
i mean we've completely skipped going through any type of color theory (the last time anyone in my class has probably even looked at a color wheel was in fine art prep) so everyone's pictures turn out shitty because they don't know what colors are apparently. i actually feel like my teacher has no idea what she's doing because she wants us to do highly detailed drawings of a full figure in like 15 minutes i can do a sketch and some details but how do you shade a full figure and make it look completely realistic in 15 minutes h owÂ
