Laryngitis is No Fun || Charlee Anderson-Hummel Self Para
Who: Charlee Anderson-Hummel.
Where: In her bedroom at home.
When: Sunday November 10th
What: Charlee feels sick and can't stop thinking about the amount of school work she's missed.
Charlee never got sick, she made sure of it. She never wanted to miss a class, because she knew she'd have to do double the work to catch up if she did. After missing school on Friday, she made it her weekends mission to get better before Monday, so she didn't miss anymore school and need to catch up.
Charlee got off her bed, walking across her room to her desk on the other side of the room, she took a quick look at her homework, and the small amount that she'd actually managed to get finished. She sighs, flicking through the pages sitting there on her desk. Hey brain was too stuffy and she was too drowsy to even think about finishing it.
Charlee knew she was meant to rest, and not think about her homework so she could get better, but she couldn't help it. She couldn't stop thinking. She had hoped that she would feel better by Monday, but the way she was feeling, she wasn't too sure that was going to happen. She made her way back across the room to her bed, and lay down, closing her eyes, she quickly fell back asleep.
Eric had about had it with this mono bullshit. He was so sick and tired of being cooped up in his room, unable to do anything. It's not like he could do anything with how exhausted he had been. It was Thursday night and he was feeling somewhat better so he decided to hop in his jeep and head to Meijer for a few things. Snowpiercer had just come out and it was a necessity in his life. He also needed to find something for Ellie to apologize for getting her sick and he thought maybe he could find something for Addy's baby while he was at it. He pulled up the the store and parks the jeep before heading in and grabbing a cart. His first stop was the baby clothes. He stood in a sea of pinks and purples not even knowing what he was looking for.
Stella: sighed to herself as she hopped out of her car and shuffled through the chill night air in the Meijer parking lot, swinging her car keys around her finger before shoving them back in her jacket pocket. She really hadn’t felt like leaving the house that night, but it was that time of the month for all three of the Lopez-Pierce girls in the house, and they had sent her on a tampon run. She didn’t waste any time walking around aimlessly and headed straight for the aisle she needed. Stella knew the place like the back of her hand, so it didn’t take long before she found what she needed, along with a few other things, and set them in her basket. As she walked back up to the front of the store, Stella found herself glancing around the baby section and couldn’t help but look around. But, in the midst of miniature clothing, she saw Eric Hudson’s familiar face. Stella groaned to herself, not up for seeing anyone she knew at the moment, especially because she was in sweat pants and didn’t have any makeup on. Though, right as she was about to turn away and leave, she caught his eye, and she knew there was no way of getting out of conversing with him. “Oh, hey,” Stella said, smiling awkwardly as she tried to hide her basket of tampon boxes behind her leg.
Eric looked up from the onesie he was examining in his hands. "Hey Stella!" He smiled, reaching up and adjusting the beanie on his head. He scratched at his growing beard and looked from Stella to the baby clothes in his hand. He set it back on the self and leaned against his cart. "How are you?" He asked. "Fancy seeing you here this late at night." He smiled at her again. He and Stella had never really been close, considering they were in two completely different crowds in high school. He was, however, pretty close with her younger sister, Samara, seeing as she had just started dating his best friend. He almost saw it as fate that he ran into Stella tonight. He wanted to get something for Addy and who better to ask that his cousin's best friend.
Stella: laughed seeing the onesie in Eric’s hand. “Yup, yeah.. I’m good,” she said softly. She hadn’t ever really talked to Eric too many times before. She knew he and her sister were friends, and that they possibly had a mutual friend or two, but that was about it. “So, this stuff is pretty cute huh?” She said, picking up a purple onesie with cartoon ducklings printed all over. “Were you looking for something in particular, or..?” Stella shifted awkwardly. She hadn’t been, but she honestly couldn’t stop herself from taking a peak around. Stella already knew she’d be spoiling her best friend’s baby rotten, what was wrong with starting a bit early?
Eric looked at her confused for a moment before looking at what she now had in her hands. "What? Oh yeah. Defintiely cute." He chuckled softly. "I was here buying a moving and then I walked by this stuff and thought maybe I could find something for Addy's baby. My mom hasn't shut up about the baby shower you guys are throwing her so I thought that maybe I should contribute something. I still have to find her a cheesy maternity t-shirt like I promised." He leaned to the side to peek around her legs. "Whatcha hiding there, bud?" He laughed lightly. "Tampons? You do realize I have a mother and two sisters, I've been on quite a few tampon runs in my day. You don't have to be embarrassed about it, Stel."
Stella: “Yeah, Addy’ll definitely be grateful for another cheesy maternity shirt,” Stella chuckled. “They’re too fantastic.” She could feel her cheeks reddening as Eric’s eyes turned toward her basked. “Yeah,” she laughed awkwardly, tucking a piece of light blonde hair behind her ear. “Same. It gets pretty hectic at home this time of the month.” She looked away again, turning her attention back on the baby clothes. “But um.. you should, uh, you should totally get something for the baby, too.. that’d be pretty rad,” Stella said, desperate to change the topic they had landed on. “I know Addy doesn’t like pink, so that’s out unfortunately."
Eric laughed and pulled his beanie down a bit before leaning on his cart. "I'm trying to find the perfect one but it's taking a bit. I've looked everywhere and can't find one I like. I might go home and scour the internet some more." He grinned as she blushed slightly. "I've learned to steer clear of the girls during their time. I've almost lost my life because of their girl shit." He cracked his neck before looking back at the shelf. "I know well enough to stay away from pink. And I know to get something that my uncle Kurt is going to approve of as well because no grandchild of his will be anything less than well dressed, that's for certain."
Stella: “We should all agree to get her a ton, and she’d be forced to wear one every day,” Stella laughed. Any chance she got to embarrass Addy, she took. It was too much fun. Stella chucked and rolled her eyes, but she knew he was right. Her mami was pretty fiesty as it was, and that didn’t help. “Right, right.. so many restrictions,” Stella sighed. She looked around at all the baby clothes surrounding her. It was hard to pick since she though everything was adorable. “This is pretty cute,” she said, holding up a little floral onesie.
Eric grinned mischievously. "Yes! Good plan." Eric started to yawn and rubbed his eyes lightly. He was doing so well and didn't need to get tired now. He didn't want to be rude and abruptly leave their conversation so he fought it. He looked at the onesie she held in her hand. "It's adorable. But would my uncle Kurt approve of it is the bigger question. I'm thinking of buying a whole bunch of onesies with sarcastic little sayings on them. It'll be right up her alley." He yawned again and tried to cover it up. "Hey, it's been great talking to you, Stel, but I should actually head out before I fall asleep standing up or on the drive home. Keep in touch, okay? And maybe we could maybe double date or something when Chad isn't out to kill me." He laughed softly and waved as he headed towards the check out lane.
Stella: laughed and nodded at Eric’s suggestion. “Yeah, any child of Addy’s has got to wear some of those.” She folded the onesie back up and set it down where she had got it from. She could definitely tell Eric was tired, and started to feel tired too as she caught his yawn. “Yeah.. hah, for sure,” she said with a nod. She hadn’t gotten into the situation too much, but Stella knew it had really upset her boyfriend. “See ya later,” she said waving goodbye as she headed out herself.
Charlee had always felt a need to be perfect at everything, she had always been a straight A student, but lately keeping her grades up had become harder than usual, with her starting high school. She was up most nights past 11 with her homework, and even when she had time to sleep, she could never manage to get more than a few hours at a time.
One night she got home from school and made her way to her bedroom to begin her homework. It was about 6pm, and she'd been at school finishing an article she was writing for the school paper. She dropped her books onto the end of her bed, she grabbed the one that had all her notes in it and sat it on her desk, before pulling out the chair and sitting down. As she opened her book to the page she needed, she began to feel like there was something pushing on her chest, she couldn't breathe, and her eyes begun filling with tears. She started taking deep breaths, grabbing her water bottle and began taking small sips, before she started to feel normal again..

What: Samaras First Performance As Belle in the School Production.
Samara looked out from backstage, seeing all those people made her stomach turn, she was excited, but scared. She had never performed in front of that many people before, her only performances being in front of her parents and siblings in silly little plays she made up herself. She grabbed her water bottle off the stool beside her and took a big sip, before she heard the starting music of the first song she knew it was time for her to go onto the stage.
When she walked out, she forgot about all the people, and just sung. That was when she knew that was exactly where she should be. She felt at home up on the stage, singing to make everybody else happy.
