the Great Love And Downfall
Authors Note: So this is an interactive fic, where the story is about you and you get to make all the choices. This is a weird dream of mine come to reality, it really is a lot of work, but when itâs done itâs going to be beautiful (hopefully) and everyone will enjoy it. (Also hopefully.) I mean thatâs the whole point of it being interactive lol, so everyone gets to choose where the story goes, not just me :P Also posting is going to be in a weird order but if you start here it should always get you to the right part of the fic.Â
Summary: The guys are confused about who you like, who will you choose?
The lair always seemed to be bustling for one reason or the other, whether it was Mikey skateboarding through the house or Donnie exploding something in his lab. Today the only noise came from the living room where laughter and chatter made their home. A movie played on their old fashioned television but no one was really paying attention and it became background noise to their fun. You and your four terrapin companions laughed and let loose after a long fought over victory against the shredder. It was hard to believe they had defeated the Shredder only a few nights ago. You looked around at them in awe of the brothers that had turned your world upside down, quite literally. You had gone from being a surface dweller to almost strictly underground in a matter of months. It wasnât like you couldnât leave you just never really wanted to. When you moved to New York City for college, you had been so fearful of the big apple, it was noisy compared to your quiet midwestern town. The turtles had stepped into your life when you needed them the most. Leonardo peered over at the small human next to him as everyone continued their conversations and smiled. He hated to admit it but this girl had stuck on him, unlike any others he had met before. He cared for April like family, and he felt a duty to protect her and even Casey and Vern. But with [Y/N], he wanted to protect her, it was never a duty, but always a want. He looked over at Donatello who was trying just as hard to not stare. This beautiful goddess had been dropped into their life ever so suddenly and he wasn't complaining. When they had met you in that alley while you tried to defend yourself from a mugger, Donatello could've sworn he'd seen the greatest creation of all time, you. He shifted in his seat as his mind ran at a thousand miles per minute with thoughts of how he could sweep you off your feet. His golden brown eyes glistened at you, unaware of how uncomfortable Raphael was. He sat tensely across from Donatello, clenching his jaw. Fuck sheâs so beautiful, he thought to himself. Every so often the ventilation system would kick on and send waves of wind threading through your hair and he would catch a whiff of that wonderfully scented peach shampoo you loved so much. He was beginning to anticipate the smell of peaches, it always seemed to reach his nose right before you showed up. He couldnât even eat peaches anymore, the smell was so similar to you that when juices burst from it, it was almost too much. It felt like the universe was teasing him. He grunted at his discomfort but didnât dare leave your presence. Michelangelo was not as good as hiding his affection for you. He had been making you laugh all night. That laughter was precious to him, making his heart flutter every time it escaped your lips. He wanted to hold you, to be near you to just be yours. He knew his brothers liked you too, but he didnât care, he wasnât going to let you go so easily.Â
âIâm going to get something to drink does anybody-â All four brothers stood up at once, offering to get it for you. You tried to tell them you could get it yourself but before you knew it they had all gone into the kitchen, and you were left alone in the living room. You looked towards the kitchen longingly, knowing why they were all trying so desperately to please you. Michelangelo was never good at keeping secrets. You heard something crash in the kitchen and you got up but Mikey poked his head out of the doorway,
âWeâre doing good in here angel cakes,â he beamed. âWeâll be right out.â He swiveled around back into the kitchen.
âSmooth,â Raphael grunted, his arms crossed firmly across his chest as he leaned against the counter.Â
âWould you two just be grown ups for a second?â Leo interrupted. Raphael snarled in Leoâs direction but didnât say anything. Donnie stood quietly at the sink filling a glass with water. He was pensive in his task to please you, ignoring all the childish bickering amongst his brothers.Â
âWhatever happened to the bro code; I totally called dibs!â Mikey said, aiming his words at the entire room. The kitchen got uncomfortably quiet before Raphael couldnât stand the awkward silence anymore.Â
âShe obviously doesnât like any of you boneheads.â He huffed. Raphael felt so confused about his feelings. He had forcefully stuffed his own feelings deep inside of him, trying to ignore them for both of your sakes. He knew that a turtle and a human could never be, but God he hoped somehow there was a way.
âI resent that statement.â Donatello interrupted. âI wouldnât consider myself a bonehead.â
âOh ya, I betcha she does.â Donnie rolled his eyes but thought about what he had said. Donatelloâs mind flashed back to all the times he had made a fool of himself in front of you and his face drained of color in embarrassment.
âYeah and she thinks Iâm cool!â Mikey exclaimed, so sure that he could win you over with his charm if you just let him.
âIF she were into turtles,â Raphael paused. âsheâd be into me.â Leo cringed as if Raphael had personally offended him.Â
âNo.â He stated simply. Raphael shot a dirty look at Leo.
âSo what, I suppose she likes you mister fearless leader?â He snarled.
âYou said it, not me.â He threw his hands up and leaned against the counter with an arrogant smirk on his face. He knew it was impossible, that you even like any of them. If you were to like any of them though, it would be him. His brothers were so childish, he knew you needed a real man.Â
âWhy donât we just ask her?â Interrupted Donatello, who stood against the sink with a glass full of water. He felt anxious at the thought of revealing to you that he liked you and even more so at the thought of your reaction. As much as he studied and watched you, he couldnât read you. All your actions seemed genuine and loving, which was what made it so hard to tell if you liked them or were just being nice.Â
âThatâs a great idea!â Mikey zipped out of the room before anyone could stop him. He wanted to prove to his brothers, for once, he was the better turtle. He sauntered into the room, âHeeeey baby girl.â You smiled and blushed as he sat next to you.Â
âHey Mikey,â you paused as his brothers slowly trickled in after him. âwhatâs going on?âÂ
âWell we just had a really quick question, totally not important, some would say it doesnât even need to be asked-â Leonardo crossed his arms and tapped his finger impatiently against his bicep,
âMikey!â He interrupted, reminding him to get back on track. As nervous as they all were, they wanted an answer.
âRight.â He smiled. âWe were just wondering which one of us you like?â You looked at Mikeyâs twinkling crystal eyes, embarrassed. They all stared at you, and the tension almost killed you. You didnât expect the question and stuttered over yourself trying to answer.
