Hi everybody,

It has been forever and I'm sure most people gave up hope but I have just posted chapter 120 of The Many Faced God Must Have His Due. It is a Dany chapter and I will be posting an Arya chapter on New Year's Eve.

Arya woke in her bed in Winterfell, miserable. Aegon was asleep in a chair but Rickon was awake and alert. “Arya,” he cried. He looked afraid, and there were tears in his eyes. “I’m sorry,” she told him, reaching for him. “I’m sorry.”

Unfortunately I had complications from chemo and have been on a wait list for a different surgery for a year. I had time to write fic as I only made a partial return to work, but I was given my surgery date just after my last update so I had to adjust my plans and scramble to get other time sensitive projects done.

I had hoped to get the next chapter written and include a note on it to explain the fic and all other activities I do will be on hiatus for the next two to three months but everything else took far longer to get done than expected so the chapter is only partly written and not ready to post.

I won’t let anybody burn Winterfell. She vowed. I won’t. She did not know what she was going to do, but she kept vowing it all the same.

New Arya chapter posted on New Year's Eve (Australian time) as promised. Tagging this one to match the content. I know readers have been waiting a long time for this.

As she watched she heard the sound of dragon wings with the sharper ears of the bird. Rhaegal returning already was her first thought, but then she heard the sound of a dragon roar. “Arya!” Aegon’s voice brought her back. His hand was on her arm. He had paled. He put her behind him and Arya looked up and saw the dragon. Syrio’s teachings ran through her head. Quick as a snake. Quiet as a shadow. Fear cuts deeper than swords.

Sansa began to hurry. The godswood was a distance from where Aegon had been keeping watch with his dragon. She looked to the sky and saw the green dragon had no rider and both dragons were spitting flames. Be brave, she told herself. Be brave like Mother. Her mother had been in castles that were under attack, she knew. “Go to the great hall” she urged the people she passed. “You will have Winterfell’s protection. I will join you.”

The next chapter of tmfgmhhd was finished at the beginning of the year. I have one and a half chapters written and a third partially done but things have been difficult with me working and studying. I have had no free time. I expect to be writing more in late June and will begin posting chapters once I have three or four completed.

It has been disappointing to me that it has taken so long for me to progress the story. I began it at a time when I had lots of time for writing. I have no idea when it will be finished but I have an arc at Winterfell all plotted and that will definitely be written and posted, hopefully this year. I think about it a lot so the delay is definitely not lack of desire to write or finish, just a severe lack of time.

Dany watched, helpless.

People are dying and I cannot save them.
