Spending hours in the office staring at drawings? Not talking, eating or drinking and ignoring any interruptions while working? Retiring to your room and doing everything in one afternoon while shouting in distress?

Well, this episode gave us some details about Michael's habilities and the people he targets.

He probably attacked the Lombardis and then went after Helen when she had memorized the entire house, undermining her confidence. He seems to like to do that.

The big question is "what" is he. What do we know about that? He's not a person, part of him is a non euclidean space, his human appearence is fake, he talks in metaphors when you ask him about himself but can give you direct anwers when he needs to be a bit sassy and he doesn't have a very strong sense of identity. I think he doesn't undertands himself very much.

My desk lamp made something weird while listening to this episode and I felt my very soul jumping out of my body for a moment.

This is the third time we hear about Michael Crew in this series and now I have more questions about him than before.

What we know is that he was struck by lightning at the age of eight, then in 1996 he left Boneturner's Tale at Chiswick Library along with other books. This episode takes place two years later, so we know this man had been looking for exotheric books for at least that amount of time. He supposedly dies here, but then much later in 2012, his childhood friend gets a book with an illustration of the scar on his back.

I want to know what made him research those kind of books, and why Ex Altoira seems to be the one he was looking for. It probably has to do with his childhood accident, I suppose, because it seems like he's literaly being chased by lightning in this episode.

This episode contains three things that really get on my nerves: mosquitoes, medical themes and blood. Just thinking how Dr. Thomson died makes my skin crawl.

The syringe has to be some kind of paranormal artifact, why would Salesa want it otherwise? And everything surrounding the deal is weird. The doctor's willingness to sell it, mosquitos becoming intelligent killing machines and the fact that we don't know how he contacted Salesa. It's like he had to sell it to him for some reason.

I've never heard him being so polite with someone and, of course, it's because she's a police woman who has access to Gertrude's tapes! Lmao, I love this man.

To be honest, I'm intrigued about the current location of the book that makes people burn. I think someone has to have that book. Books don't disappear like that.

Diego Molina had it, Spencer tried to burn it, then Diego got released and got it back. Diego could be the man that was with Gerard in First Aid, but why did he stay alive until then while Spencer died not much after arresting him?

There must be a logic to them, but the effects of listening to Grifter's Bone are as consistent as their story: Lee Kipple got hurt after directly listening to them but he's alive, while Jenny died after listening to the recording. Also, the attendees being already dead in Jenny's experience vs them being random people in Lee's one.

My theory is that this is on purpose. I think the three bandmates, the ones who "moved with a jerkiness to their motions", are more like marionettes moved by Alfred.

Now we know the location of the shop Prentiss used to work at, and I guess the man that talks to Jennifer Ling is Antonio Blake/Oliver. I think he asked Jenny about the music she was hearing because he saw her with red tendrils around her ears in his dreams.

I knew Jon would go down the passages, alone of course. Going into the Archives at night is already dangerous, and who knows what's actually going on down there. Him not trusting his coworkers is understandable, I don't trust Elias nor Not-Sasha, but come on. Have some survival instincts bro.

Talking about Not-Sasha, her marking the trapdoor with bright tape so it's easy to find is pure comedy. I also love how Jon phrased being unable to remember his surroundings clearly while being turned into cheese by worms as "those memories are… unreliable, and tinged with other, more potent, experience". Sure it was!

Lastly, I want to list some things that called my attention:

I think the police cleared the scenario way too fast, that's sus.

Martin really did go far into the passages, he saw the wine bottle and everything.

This is the second time a voice saves someone via short command. I thought this was ghosts, but maybe is some kind of artifact that only allows you to say a few words at a time.
