By Stina- I read this book last week, in a single night. It had a lot of mixed reviews, but I found that the people who liked it, really loved it. I am definitely one of those people. What I think causes the strong reaction is that it's essentially a contemporary YA coming of age, first love story.... But it's got a beautiful dose of Native story telling and time theory. If you've never taken the time to read Native American creation stories, maybe you won't get them. #tltstw is a nice introduction to these beautiful stories. The time theory sections assume that the reader has a basic understanding of time or dimensions. If you haven't read #awrinkleintime or anything similar, this book might be confusing for you.
