My obsession with quotes began in the 8th grade.  It was related to the fact that Seniors were afforded the opportunity to write whatever they wanted to be put in the yearbook.  Lots of folks chose to share funny quotes from their time in high school and so, in preparation, I began keeping track of quotes.

I am not as obsessive as I used to be (and was up until very recently), but this quote is the first one I ever memorized...

"Be me, do what I believe and to be myself and I suggest everyone do the same thing, do what makes you feel comfortable, do what makes you feel happy."

I memorized it from hearing it on the Fanmail album (and track of the same name), never connecting that Lisa said it in this MTV special years before (though I, of course, had seen the special).  She starts the quote at the 6:32 mark.
