Yeah, that's also not something I would have wanted from the start, but I'll take ANYTHING over the PVV. My biggest worry is if he can't get a centrist formation, he finds a way to get a far-right formation. FvD, JA21, and something else. Yeşilgöz seems to be breaking promises already, after less than 24 hours, let's hope she doesn't give in to the smell of power and remains unwilling to govern with the PVV.

People are really out there thinking that the left and in particular GL/PvdA (the green labour party) is after everyone's freedom, while I think you'll find soon enough... that's not the case.

As you may have noticed, my blog has turned fairly (Dutch) political over the past 24 hours.

The Netherlands had general elections yesterday, and our version of Trump/Boris Johnson won in 77% of municipalities. His party has 37 seats in our 150-seat government, which may not sound like much, but it means he gets to try to form a government with other parties to get to 76 seats.

He's anti-Europe, wants to ban immigration and refugees, wants to destroy social security, wants to defund the public media, is anti-journalism, anti-climate issues, anti socialised healthcare, anti-democracy, pro-chauvinism... He's also a racist, homophobic fascist. His party is known for the slogan: "What do we want? LESS MOROCCANS!"

I'm a queer mother on disability (Wajong) with a chronically ill wife. And I'm fucking scared.

Tomorrow, I'll probably go back to regular posting.
