Usually, Collin hated traveling. The beds were never comfortable and he got lonely away from Holly and the Carson Center. It was additionally mindnumbing when he was staying in a boring hotel in the middle of Arkansas. There wasn’t even a pool. On trips like these, he would usually spend his time caring for the creature he was sent out to look at. However, the Hippogriff he was caring for could only take small sessions with Collin before getting anxious. While he wanted to tend to her injuries all at once, he knew he couldn’t risk her panicking and making her injuries worse. So on this trip that already taken five whole days, Collin spent a lot of time lazing around the hotel-- either in his room or at the hotel bar.
Collin was sitting at the bar now, nursing a drink that was running pretty low. All the people he had been talking to had retired for the night despite the relatively early hour. The man looked up when he saw someone else enter the bar, glad to have someone other than the bartender to talk to. “Hey barkeep, we’ve got another person with us,” Col called to the bartender who was playing some game on his phone. “Take a seat anywhere, ma’am. Bar’s empty and drinks are on me.”
