Nina sighed as she laid on her bed with her best friend, they had been discussing the boys at their school and how big of players they were. “We should just pretend to be lesbians so they leave us alone.” The brunette suggested with a small laugh before actually thinking about her own words. “Wait a minute..that could work.” She admitted as she sat up a bit. “Think about it.”

     eli has faced plenty of bullies in his life. his friends, his family, random people he didn’t even know --- he’s very familiar with them all. not once has he stuck up to them before, but now is the exception - when he sees the girl being tormented for the sole reason of her skin color. “h-hey! ju-just ‘ca-cause she do-doesn’t look like y-you do-doesn’t mean sh-she’s l-less th-than y-you...” his confidence falters awfully quick, but he’s soon flashing his blue eyes at them. they’re quick to leave the two alone, and eli runs a hand through messy hair. “uh, s-sorry --- th-they looked like th-they w-were bothering y-you a-and --- and i’m s-sure you’re go-good at defending y-yourself, but --- but uh, i c-couldn’t st-stand listening a-and not d-do anything...”

Peyton bit her lip, clutching her books tightly to her chest. The rain poured down around her, fogging up the glasses perched on her nose. A car drove past her and hit a puddle. The water flew through the air and soaked her jacket.
