THIS.
I AM DYING.
IÂ couldn't remember Leonardo DiCaprio's name so I googled "that guy that needs too win an Oscar" and surely enough, there he was.
the real story
WHY THE FUCK
would I watch The Titanic right before bed, I am bawling my eyes out trying to hold in my gasps so I don't wake up my roommate and scare her haha.

Mitchell Davis: "I love you so much, I'll sit through your favorite movie as many times as you want. Just for the record though, I don't get why they sparkle, but I'll watch it with you."
Me: "This will be how I know my boyfriend loves me: when he sits next to me and watches Titanic with me 5739406654385490320679403 times."Â
Will you be watching Titanic- the miniseries tonight?
I must admit - I am a bit curious about it!Â
Apparently there is a company selling necklaces made with pieces of the coal from Titanic to commemorate the anniversary of the maiden voyage. Seems a bit too much like disturbing the resting place of 1,517 people for monetary gain to me. I understand the history and the interest in that history, but really? I find it repugnant.
Truly, the "commemoration" of a tragedy like that seems entirely inconsiderate. Next, we'll have feathers commemorating the slaughter at Little Big Horn and necklaces with drops of oil from the U.S.S. Arizona. Did I mention that the coal is in a blue heart? To suggest the "romance of the Titanic." It's disgusting.
Taking coal? That's called mining. This company is mining the Titanic, a place from which body's were never recovered. Do I recognize that after so long those bodies are no longer there? Yes. Do I recognize that archaeologists dig in grave sites all the time? I do. This is different. This is a mere 100 years ago, and there is no knowledge about this gained here. It is simple taking something from a burial site with no other purpose than the profit people can make.
