what if i started making character/ship themed moodboards.... what then...

does anyone ever think about the fact that john is so much more cheery and chirpy in monsters and men then he is in monsters and men (reprise)? like obviously there's the whole factor that he's actively dying/dematerializing, but there's also the fact that like... it feels like he's matching the energy of the characters he's interacting with/giving them what they need. howard goodman needed to be uplifted, and he's a sillier feeling character, he seems to be intended to be a joke as a whole (there's a whole cut song about him seeing his dad everywhere in the black and white, along with wilbur/wiley and xander both calling him "howie")... and then there's lex, who's so tired and angry at the world for everything she's endured, and john is so much more serious and his range is for the most part a little lower with her. like he's taking her more seriously. and it could be because she's the last hope for the world, but like... howie is kind of a joke. and lex is a powerhouse in herself, she has powers to reach into the black and white itself. howard's just some guy.

unironically i do enjoy bruno mars’ performance on grenade, its so emotional n intense for no fucking reason fbddk, like its ostensibly an intentional exaggeration around a low stakes/high emotion breakup, hes being overly dramatic for the sake of catharsis n he knows it n thats y the vocals r like that, n i rly actually love it. but the lyrics do make me roll my eyes im shaking my head to show i do not agree while harmonizing flawlessly
