i do complain a lot about the "saint kurt of glee fandom" phenomenon but tbh i'm seeing it a lot less than i used to, and mostly just in the wild i.e. the glee tag. which means i've curated my dashboard right 🙂↕️🌎☮️

it’s really interesting how many people are reading into that one quote what they want to hear and not what it actually says or understanding why it’s interesting in the first place
What a tiresome way to learn again that all earthly journeys end in earthly things.
André Alexis, The Hidden Keys
I sometimes find this "I" very tiresome. -- Michael Lipsey

I grew up walking on eggshells, recognising footsteps, and tones. How to tell if someone was in a bad mood and avoid them. I learned to study people at a young age. I'm quiet and observant for a reason. I'll read you like a book before we even speak.

I have to be honest: I think my comics hyperfixation is fading. I continue thinking that, since it's sometimes feeling way harder to focus on reading comics. Burnout has probably set in, at least to some extent. But I don't know what else to do with myself if I stop reading the comics, so i'm just forcing myself to keep at it, in some respects. This has become a thing where the lack of desire to find something new forces me to stay in one place, stuck on one topic like a broken record. But slowly, my resistance is wavering. As yours probably would too, had you been stuck on one hyperfixation for nearly 2 years. It's exhausting to stay stuck in one place, but it's even more frightening to deal with the boredom and apathy of losing a hyperfixation. So we seem to be walking a weird tightrope walk with this hyperfixation, and I just find it tiresome sometimes.

And yet—
“I like you.”
Oikura, from the kitchen, stills just long enough for it to be noticeable.
