Welcome
Welcome to the iPhotographic Chronicle, a simple blog that aims to prove that the iPhone (or & of course the iPad) are just as valid a tool for creating images and art just as well as the most expensive camera equipment can do.
There are many people out there.. The ones who like to use the tag "professional" when stating referring to themselves as a photographer, not all of course, but some that believe they are purists of the form. When SLRS went digital, the film folks balked at the very idea that a digital camera could compete.. Now the digital SLR users act the same towards the camera phone, and why? Simple.. They're threatened. In a world where a child can produce images as good as their's in a fraction of the time with the right app handy, they have good reason to be, i can predict a shift towards mobile phone images in the likes of the press and media, from photojournalism to paparazzi & beyond..
Ok, an SLR has a greater processing power than a camera phone. But what matters most at the end of the day is the image.. As technology goes from strength to strength, so too will the camera phone. Since its inception, the camera phone gave people the power to capture any image, anywhere at anytime.
There is a quote "The best camera is the one that's with you." and its never been truer.. I believe the best camera is the one in your pocket.
So with this blog I intend to teach a few of the photographic basics, review photographic apps and pass on what I learn, and from time to time I'll test out hardware, but above all.. I'll just have some fun.
