Headcanon that crobat are rare because golbat are ugly and almost no one likes them, and crobat aren’t tough enough to get most trainers to justify manipulating the poor things. Same with swoobat. Meanwhile loppunny are rare because buneary hates your guts. However, eevees and riolu you almost can’t keep in their initial stage because of how naturally lovable, loyal, and friendly they are. Do not give your kid a riolu unless you want to care for a lucario. Same with many others, such as chansey.
fully agree with all of these, but also this ask made me realize that not only is it hilarious that Buneary canonically hates your guts, but it's especially funny when you consider it needs to stop hating your guts in order to evolve. it hates your guts so much it's willing to sacrifice potentially evolving just because it hates you that much
