They always have... even if they make you look like you were hit with a shrink ray or something. But if you like the shirt so much you can keep it. It looks better on... well me, but you pull it off very well.”

“I told you, didn’t I? I said it was eyeing me funny! But noooo you didn’t believe me. You said that squirrels didn’t really maul people. You always said I just made up that story about the time it happened when I was nine. Do you believe me now, punk? Furry little bastards...”

“Not that I don’t appreciate what you’re trying to do for your friend or for me... but maybe no more blind dates, huh? I’m not really looking to be in a relationship right now, and I don’t think I’m really the nice guy you think I am. I have far too many skeletons in my closet to really be a good fit for anyone.”

“Are you sure about this? I know, I know I promised if you fixed the car but it really has been a long time.” But he was quickly sighing and leading her happily to the dance floor. As the music began to play he put his hands on her waste as they moved slowly and actually rather gracefully to the music. Towards the end of the song hshifted his hands so he could take her and gently spun her around, laughing all the while and even going so far as to dip her as the song ended. “Hey... that actually wasn’t so bad. It seems I remember more of this than I thought.” Of course it was while they were walking back to the sidelines that he’d tripped, catching himself but shaking his head. “Oh... spoke too soon. Dang, and I was so close to actually being charming. Should have known my feet would trip me up.”
