With this tiny quail egg inside a chicken egg yolk, you can enjoy a fun twist on regular eggs. Great for a fun breakfast or an interesting starter!
Ingredients: 1 small chicken egg. 1 quail egg. Salt and pepper to taste. Butter or oil for frying.
Instructions: Carefully crack open the small chicken egg and separate the yolk from the egg white. Keep the yolk intact. In a small bowl, season the quail egg with a pinch of salt and pepper. Gently place the seasoned quail egg yolk inside the separated chicken egg yolk, creating a tiny nest. In a non-stick pan, melt a small amount of butter or heat some oil over medium-low heat. Carefully place the combined egg yolks into the pan and cook for about 1-2 minutes until the quail egg yolk is slightly set but still runny. Using a spatula, carefully transfer the tiny egg nest onto a plate, keeping the yolks intact. Season with a bit more salt and pepper if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy your unique and delightful tiny egg inside a chicken egg!
