Imagine if, as it is in many tales, the only thing keeping Able alive is hating Caïn
Imagine if the later learns of this, and makes a deal (with the desk for exemple) for Able to never forgive him, because he prefers the idea of his brother hating him but being alive then seeing him die once again, and it, once again, being his fault (even if this time only technically)
It's a pretty good idea to explore, especially the aspects of guilt that Cain still feels (in many stories he says he's gotten over it, but it seems he hasn't).
