the most fun i've ever had in minecraft was when i was playing modded minecraft with 3 other people, and we were adventuring through a twilight forest labyrinth as a party. it was a kitchen sink modpack, and we all came across a long drop.
i dropped down by using an ars nouveau spell to negate fall damage, my friend used a tinkers construct sword to parry the ground, i can't recall what the third friend did.
we were all excitedly declaring what we were doing, talking about our cool modded abilities since we all had gear from entirely unrelated mods. the last friend then shouts "i have feather falling!" and jumps down, and we all collectively start laughing at ms. vanilla minecraft and her loud damage sound.
