Here’s another weirdo from my “one day I’ll paint these cabinet,” and oddly enough I’ve been able to paint him. Little by little over a few evenings I put a fair amount of colors on this alien from the #GalaxyLaserTeam . These were originally made to cash in on the sci-fi madness brought on by the release of Star Wars, and these characters have been long favorites of mine. Somewhat recently, #TimMeeToys have remade these, and just between you and me, I would love to get a group tribute art show around this band of spacefolk. (at Starbase Nerfect)

One of my dreams is to put together a group art exhibition in homage to the Galaxy Laser Team toys. They were originally produced in the late '70s to cash in on Star Wars mania, and have been recently been reproduced by Tim Mee Toys in a variety of sizes and colors. Every time I see one of these figures, I'm taken back to childhood on one hand, and I just know a show of custom painted figures and prints and original art based on the characters would make for a fun show. Granted, when I think of organizing such a thing, finding a space and talking to the toy company in order to make it official, I kind of get a headache.
