Girl meets boy.Boy meets girl.Boy makes a habit of picking up Girl against her will and carrying her to her classes.Girl pretends that boy annoys her but secretly thinks that Boy is pretty cute.Girl takes pictures for Boy’s band.Girl suggests that Boy switch out of his photography class and into her choir class to help keep her sanity marginally intact.Boy switches into Girl’s choir class.Boy and Girl spend more time together than strictly necessary.Boy spends all afternoon helping Girl paint a mural on her A-frame loft wall even though Girl forgets several necessary materials and Boy and Girl end up having to make like three trips to ace hardware. Boy and Girl nearly freeze to death on balcony and end up huddled around a space heater next to unfinished mural trying to thaw-out their fingers. Boy asks Girl out. (Girls fingers get warmer)Boy and Girl spend several happy years in each others company roaming around their desert home, eating lots of french toast, spending too much money at Bookmans, going to Boy’s band’s shows, and daydreaming about owning a corgi. Boy decides to join the airforce. Boy has to go away for several months to get yelled at and make beds. Girl stays home and gets a job and goes to school and thinks about life a lot.
Boy and Girl must rely solely on the US Postal Service for communication. There are lots of letters. Lots of tears. Lots of smiles. Gooey gross feelings and stuff.
Girl has to decide whether she will marry Boy and accompany him across the world and into the unknown or stay home and continue on her steady path as she knows it.

Presently Boy and Girl live in hawaii with their cat Leopold and their dog Eleanor (who is not a corgi, but she’s still pretty cool) Boy still picks Girl up against her will a lot and does things like spin her around in circles in the living room to the soundtrack of her loud complaints, and Girl pretends that Boy annoys her, but secretly she still thinks he’s pretty cute.
