How was your visit to the land of the somewhat free?
This is going to be a long reply and for that I apologise…
It was amazing thank you! I was there for three weeks, I had my birthday in Vegas which was awesome because I went on the Big Shot (the ride on top of the Stratsophere) and saw Cirque du Soleil and met up with an old friend:) Then spent five days in Utah as my brother was getting married there. Then LA - which was just beautiful and amazing and will someone please just give me money to go back? I saw one of my favourite Van Gogh paintings at the Getty, went on a boat trip to see dolphins, went to Universal and even went to USC to do some research for my dissertation!
Also - when the hell is Hot Topic coming to the UK? Because I need that shop in my life. My bank account really doesn’t as that is empty right now (I regret nothing), but Forbidden Planet isn’t anywhere near the same level of awesome as Hot Topic.
And - BARNES AND NOBLE. I was not prepared for that. I almost cried. I think I did actually.
Yeah, so all in all, it was amazing. I now have this gorgeous tan which I am unable to show off right now because England sucks; Many, many new clothes; 2,500 photos; a book I have wanted to get for ages; a new notebook; two new Funko Pop figures to add to my insane collection; and real Oreos. So yeah basically, I need to get rich and move back there ASAP. Or find a teaching job out there.
PS: you guys are actually the best and I was kind of surprised with how candid and open you all are? Like for instance every time I wore a fandom shirt, and I mean every time, someone would stop me and talk to me about that fandom or compliment me?? Like people don’t do that in England! You just don’t. So that was something I really loved.
PPS: You guys really know how to do food. I mean honestly. The food was to die for.
I’ll be back soon, America.
