“Put... put the gun down...” He spoke coolly, moved slowly with hands raised in a manner of defense. Surely this had to have looked AWFULLY suspicious. He wasn’t even apart of NEST, he worked at a facility about a state or two away in fact. “This is clearly a misunderstanding!” Tone rings with something akin to amusement--- as though trying to lighten the mood and ease the woman into lowering her weapon. Yet, she was persistent. Finger hovering dangerously close to the trigger, if she wasn’t already PULLING it.
The mistake is made when he attempts to lunge forward--- in an effort to snatch the gun from her hands. But she was QUICK to act. Gunshot rang loudly in his ears. Pain shot down the length of his arm and through his shoulder and back. That burning kind of pain, almost numbing. Nothing more then a shaky kind of groan let his lips as he stumbled back into the wall behind him. Finally looking at the damage she’d done with her gun. And there it was, a perfect little tare in his shirt and blood soaking the fabric along his shoulder ( and along his back he could feel ) . From what he could tell by the complete agony he was in--- the bullet went in his shoulder and came back out somewhere dangerously close to his spine.
Slowly the doctor slid to the ground, sputtering to find his words as his hand raised shakily, begging for a surrender. “D-don’t... j-just--- just wait a second....”
