Overview:
In order to maintain a fluid time log on one’s character sheet, players are expected to timestamp each of their threads. Timestamping serves many purposes, although they are most useful as an organizational tool. Timestamping allows for players to look back at their threads, and determine where their character was at any given time. As a result, players are capable of ensuring that they do not move their characters around the board too swiftly. Being that it takes a certain amount of time to get from one place to another, timestamping helps a player determine when they could feasibly have their character show up in another city. Finally, timestamping helps to make sure that characters aren’t in two separate places at once, (which is an impossibility).
Basic Facts:
Each year within our world is 365 days long. The calendar, therefore, follows that of the true world, although each year is marked simply as 2001 or 2002. (We do not use BC or AD at the end). The current year is whichever we currently find ourselves in. In other words, if it is 2016 in the real world, the current ingame year is 2016, and so on and so forth. Players are also capable of writing flashbacks if they so choose. However, they cannot flashback into a time period in which their character was already in play. In other words, if a player makes their character in the year 2016, after the year is over, they can no longer create threads during the year 2016. However, they could create threads dated earlier than that, such as 2014 or 2015.
Calendar:
Our world experiences the same four seasons as the real world does; winter, spring, summer, and fall. The time spent in each is roughly the same as that of the real world. Although, different areas of the map will experience different types of weather during each of the four seasons. (E.g., some areas will scarcely experience the springtime, because it is still cold where they are). The following information describes which months correspond to which seasons, and the length of each month.
